Last Trip: Alternative for Germany Expels Party Member Who Traveled to Chechnya

The right-wing German party Alternative for Germany (AfD) has expelled Chechen native Noah Krieger (real name Murad Dadaev) from its ranks. Members of the party reported this to the publication "Important Stories" and the German investigative project Correctiv. AfD did not disclose the reasons for its decision, but it is likely that the young German politician of Chechen origin was stripped of his party membership due to his extended trip to his homeland.

Krieger-Dadaev has been actively publicizing his stay in Chechnya, practically online, and has held numerous meetings with regional government officials at various levels. Judging by his regularly published stories, he is still in the republic.

Thirty-six-year-old Murad Dadaev is the brother of Suleiman Dadaev, who was sentenced to 19 years in Vienna for the 2009 murder of Umar Israilov, a former bodyguard for Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Israilov fled Chechnya and accused his former boss of torture, which was documented in his complaint to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

According to journalists, Suleiman flew from Vienna to Moscow on February 24, 2022, where he registered and obtained a passport under the name Surkho Shikaro.

Murad Dadaev, according to investigators, moved to Europe with the help of his brother. In Germany, he joined the Lower Saxon AfD branch and maintained ties not only to local politicians but also to people from the Chechen diaspora close to the Chechen leader. In particular, with Said-Magomed Ibragimov, whom human rights activists link to the Guerilla Vaynakh Nation biker gang, involved in violent crime. Ibragimov has been repeatedly seen in the company of Ramzan Kadyrov's closest allies—Chechnya's Prime Minister Magomed Daudov and his deputy in the security sector, Abuzaid Vismuradov.

Krieger-Dadaev told journalists about his dual citizenship (Russian and German). According to him, in 2024, he received German citizenship by naturalization and changed his surname to that of his alleged German wife. However, Russian civil registry records indicate that he is married to a fellow villager, a Chechen woman. Krieger also claimed to have several wives. In addition to politics, he founded several companies in Hanover and in 2023 rented an 850-square-meter historic mansion for events, but was evicted by the police for debts. Dadayev positioned himself as "the first Chechen in German politics," while also opposing migration to Germany, a key point of the AfD party platform.

During his stay in Chechnya last month, Dadayev attended a session of the Chechen parliament attended by Ramzan Kadyrov and the republic's entire leadership. He presented Deputy Prime Minister and aide to the head of Chechnya, Akhmed Dudayev, with a Third Reich-era Luftwaffe dagger bearing a swastika. He also met with Zamid Chalayev, commander of the Kadyrov Special Police Regiment, and on April 2, with Chechen Ombudsman Mansur Soltayev (who is under EU and Ukrainian sanctions). They agreed to cooperate on "resolving difficult life situations" for Chechens. It is unknown whether Krieger will return to Germany.

Dadaev-Krieger himself has not yet commented on the investigation into him, despite maintaining his Instagram account almost 24/7, but he does post these messages there.
