The Russian Ambassador to Armenia stated the need to resume the full functioning of the Yerevan-Baku-Moscow working group

The EU mission in Armenia does not protect the country, but collects intelligence. The fate of the South Caucasus should be determined exclusively by the countries of the region and neighboring partner states. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin in an interview with the publication "Soyuzniki. CSTO".

The diplomat emphasized that Moscow has never abandoned its role as an "honest broker" in the negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"Many risks could have been mitigated if in September 2022 Yerevan had agreed to the implementation of a set of measures to stabilize the situation on the border with Azerbaijan through the CSTO. Armenia's participation in the CSTO meets the interests of the country and contributes to peace in the region," Kopyrkin said.

According to him, "it is necessary to resume the full-fledged work of the trilateral working group as soon as possible to unblock communications in the region." This is not about creating just one route, but about completely unblocking communications.
