Flood victims in Dagestan and Chechnya will receive 385 million rubles

The Russian government has allocated over 385 million rubles from the reserve fund to Dagestan and Chechnya. The funds will be used to pay residents of the republics affected by the floods.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the funds will cover the regions' expenses for financial assistance to people who partially or completely lost their property. Furthermore, in June alone, over 2.8 billion rubles were allocated for disaster relief and payments to victims.

As of June 25, over 56,800 people in Dagestan had received assistance, and the total amount of payments exceeded 2 billion rubles. The number of outstanding applications decreased from 85,000 to 59,000.

In the spring of 2026, heavy rains caused flooding in several districts of Dagestan and Chechnya. The disaster damaged residential buildings and social infrastructure. On Vladimir Putin's orders, a special commission was created to coordinate restoration work.
