A meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee was held in Moscow, dedicated to countering the spread of terrorist ideology, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism in the North Caucasus Federal District.

Crimean Tatar activist Servet Gaziyev, serving his sentence in Penal Colony No. 5 in Kamchatka, has again complained of deteriorating health.
After being transferred to the penal colony this spring, the 65-year-old Gaziyev was refused treatment by a local physician for his cough due to the "seriousness of his criminal conviction." Antibiotics were subsequently prescribed, but the prisoner continues to experience coughing fits lasting up to half an hour. Taking the antibiotics has worsened his intestinal problems, leading to significant weight loss.
Servet Gaziyev has been in prison since 2019. He suffered a minor stroke while in pretrial detention. In 2022, he was sentenced to 13 years in prison in the second Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case. According to investigators and the court, he participated in a terrorist organization and plotted to seize power in the Russian Federation. The charges were based on audio recordings of the defendants' discussions on religious and political topics. However, no weapons, explosives, or ammunition were found on Gaziyev or the other defendants.
