46-year-old Rustam Yarbuldiyev was detained at the Mineralnye Vody airport. He was charged under articles 209 (banditry), 279 (armed rebellion), 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer).

According to the investigation, in June-July 1999, Yarbuldyev joined the formation of Shamil Basayev and Khattab and "took an active part in the armed rebellion in order to overthrow the constitutional order and violate the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation." We are talking about the second Russian-Chechen war, in which the detainee took part.
