Representatives of the CRI discussed the creation of a tribunal over Kadyrov and his entourage

The government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in exile is considering the possibility of creating in the future a tribunal against the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and his extremist unit Akhmat. They are charged with committing war crimes on the territory of Ukraine, as well as in the Russian Federation and other countries. This was announced by a member of the CRI government in exile, Inal Sherip.

“The ideology professed by the Akhmat unit and justifying its participation in the war against Ukraine and the murder of Ukrainians gives reason to consider it an extremist sect. It poses a threat to the peoples of the Caucasus, Europe and Ukraine. Therefore, the creation of a special tribunal on Kadyrov and Akhmat is very important not only for Chechnya and Ukraine,” Sherip said. He said that he presented the idea of creating an expert-level tribunal in the United States. It was also discussed with members of the inter-factional association "For the Decolonization and Dismantling of the Russian Empire" in the Verkhovna Rada.
