The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
Representatives of the Chechen Republic proposed to rename the square in Grozny in honor of the Ukrainian Parliament.
Representatives of the Cabinet of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria spoke at the parliamentary session of Ukraine on the eve. They suggested that in the future the Peoples' Friendship Square in the center of Grozny should be named after the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Earlier in Krivoy Rog streets were named after the first President of Chechnya Dzhokhar Dudayev, Vice-President Vakha Arsanov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Chechen Republic Hamzat Gelayev.
In addition, the former Iskrovskaya Street in Kiev became the street Jokhar Dudayev. And Groznenskaya was renamed Ichkeriyskaya Street.
