Armenian Prime Minister, Arriving in Tehran for Ali Khamenei’s Farewell Ceremony, Meets with Iranian President

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The meeting took place in Tehran, where Pashinyan had arrived to attend the farewell ceremony for Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The Armenian Prime Minister once again expressed condolences over Khamenei's death and stated that Armenia shares the grief of the Iranian people.

Pezeshkian thanked Pashinyan for attending the mourning events and acknowledged the support Yerevan had extended to Tehran during a difficult period. The Iranian President also congratulated the Armenian Prime Minister on his parliamentary election victory.

The two leaders discussed the situation in the South Caucasus and affirmed the need to strengthen peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
