Georgia and Azerbaijan are striving to simplify border crossings: the parties plan to introduce a single-window system at joint border crossings.

The day before, American congressmen criticized the ruling Georgian Dream party due to the adoption of the law on foreign agents and rapprochement with China and the Russian Federation. The reaction of the Georgian authorities was not long in coming.
“We have once again heard a number of unfair assessments regarding Georgia; in fact, this was an attack on the state by specific politicians, which is very sad. You know how much has gone wrong in this relationship over the past 3-4 years. We are waiting for pragmatic, fair and correct steps towards Georgia. We hope that such attacks on Georgia will stop,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
Kobakhidze's words related to statements made by a number of members of the US Congress. One of them, Bill Keating, noted that last month Georgian Dream passed a Kremlin-inspired “foreign agents” bill designed to put pressure on civil society and freedom of expression.
“Georgian Dream also praises the trade agreement and visa liberalization regime with China. It is important to remember that Beijing actively supports Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine, while the Kremlin continues to occupy 20% of Georgia's territory in the midst of this illegal war. Simply put, the Georgian Dream government is signing agreements with those who support the occupier of Georgia,” concluded Bill Keating.
Another congressman, Tom Kean, called the actions of Georgia's ruling party "disappointing."
“In recent years, Georgian Dream has begun to attack Western partners and push for closer relations with Russia and China,” Kean told the House of Representatives at a hearing on US policy in the context of the upcoming elections in Georgia and Moldova.
