Berlin has recalled its ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, for consultations. The decision, made by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadepoel, is intended to determine how to proceed, the ministry announced.

Statements by the ruling Georgian Dream party led by Bidzina Ivanishvili that they are leading the country to Europe are a lie. This party “plays and dances to the music of Moscow.” This was stated by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili.
“By adopting pro-Russian laws, it is impossible to go to the EU, and the West has repeatedly reminded the Georgian Dream of this. By acting in this way, you will not be able to enter the European Union. But this window is open for the Georgian people, who have a chance, as democracy requires. I do not know who depends on whom and why, or what invisible threads connect some people in Georgia with Moscow, but the fact remains: Georgia has been following Russian scenarios for several years now,” Zurabishvili said.
According to her, if the Georgian people vote for the country's European future in the parliamentary elections in October, Brussels will direct its efforts and return the country to the EU path.
Salome Zurabishvili went on a European tour. She held meetings in Brussels with the head of the European Commission and the President of the Council of Europe, as well as with the President of France in Paris.
