The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
The Government of Georgia has driven itself into isolation, has separated itself from the democratic community and is trying to justify the incomprehensible, ostensibly neutral position regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war. This was stated by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili at the event dedicated to the war anniversary.
According to Zurabishvili, both she and the Georgian people expressed their unwavering support for Ukraine. This was manifested both by mass rallies against the invasion of Moscow and by sending humanitarian aid. In addition, hundreds of Georgian volunteers are fighting for the APU.
Today, acting Ambassador of Ukraine to Tbilisi Andrei Kasyanov criticized the Georgian authorities and members of the ruling party «Georgian Dream». He commented on the recent words of party chairman Irakli Kobakhidze that Russia has a military advantage in Ukraine. I propose to find out which territories and cities liberated the Armed Forces during the merciless war unleashed by Russia. This is more than 80 thousand square kilometers plus Kherson - the only regional center occupied by Russia after February 24», - said Kasyanov.
In response Irakli Kobakhidze released a release supporting Ukraine. Ukrainian military and volunteers heroically fight for the independence and territorial integrity of their country! I admire their heroism and selflessness!» Kobakhidze summarized.
