Overnight on 24 October, drone debris damaged residential buildings, vehicles and energy infrastructure in Rostov Region and Krasnodar Krai. A man was injured in Rostov Region. Several settlements experienced power cuts.

In Rostov-on-Don, 21 buses and a maintenance building at one of Rostovpassazhirtrans’s facilities were damaged. In the hamlet of Kalinin in Myasnikovsky District, damage to a transformer substation left 172 private homes without electricity. Energy workers switched them to another substation and began restoring the power supply.

According to Slyusar, drones were shot down overnight over Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog and nine districts of the region. More than 80 drones were destroyed in total, he said. In Krasnodar Krai, drone debris damaged homes in Abinsk and Yeysky District. In Abinsk, debris fell in the yard of a private property, damaging windows and part of the walls. Glazing was also damaged in two neighbouring buildings. In Yeysky District, windows were shattered in two apartment blocks.

In the hamlet of Beliy in Temryuksky District, falling debris sparked a fire at an electrical substation. According to the regional operational headquarters, energy workers are restoring electricity supplies to three settlements. The authorities said no one was injured in the attack on Krasnodar Krai.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said it had destroyed 616 drones overnight over Rostov and Volgograd regions, Krasnodar Krai, 18 other Russian regions, annexed Crimea, and the Black and Azov seas.

Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff reported that Russian forces had launched 126 attack drones overnight. According to the Ukrainian command, these included decoy drones and the Banderol and Dan-T loitering munitions. Ukraine said it had shot down 101 of the drones. The General Staff’s statement noted that some of the drones had been launched from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Krasnodar Krai.
