The explosion in the Alania Mall shopping center in Vladikavkaz this morning occurred as a result of a drone crash. This was reported by the head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, citing the Russian Defense Ministry. According to the department, drones attacked North Ossetia, Ingushetia, and Chechnya on the morning of December 25.
 
The explosion in the shopping center caused a fire, one woman died, and at least nine people were injured. Bomb disposal experts are looking for fragments of the unmanned aerial vehicle.
 
The Defense Ministry reports that UAVs attacked a number of regions in the North Caucasus Federal District. One drone crashed in Malgobek (Ingushetia), which was confirmed by the head of the region, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov. This is the first drone attack on Ingushetia.
 
There is also information that at least four explosions thundered in Grozny in the area of ​​the base of the 2nd special regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Kadyrov. The information was confirmed by the head of the Security Council of Chechnya, the nephew of the head of the region, Khamzat Kadyrov, who said that "everything was shot down." The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 59 drones were shot down overnight over the Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, Tambov and Bryansk regions. The department did not publish data on the number of drones that attacked the North Caucasian republics. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not comment on the fact of the attack itself or its alleged targets.
