A criminal case was opened against blogger Askhabali Alibekov from Dagestan, known as the “Wild Paratrooper,” on charges of violence against a police officer. This happened after security forces recently beat him during his arrest in Kazan.

The author of the YouTube channel “Wild Paratrooper”, Askhabali Alibekov, is accused of striking one of them at least twice in the leg when he was being beaten by police.

On February 20, about 15 security forces detained a blogger in Kazan. He said that he came there to become an observer in the presidential elections. The police attacked him, pushed him to the ground and beat him in the body and face. According to Alibekov, something similar to a syringe was injected into his back, after which he became dizzy.

In November 2023, a former serviceman and native of Dagestan, Askhabali Alibekov, was released from a colony in the Krasnodar Territory. Since September 2022, he has been imprisoned in a criminal case for “discrediting” the Russian army.

According to the lawyer, Alibekov wanted to save his son from death in the war with Ukraine. The man advocated peace after the start of the “SVO”. In 2018, he served in the Black Sea Fleet and called for a boycott of the Russian presidential elections.
