A criminal case was opened against a resident of Dagestan for criticizing the war in Ukraine

A criminal case for spreading "fake news" about the Russian army was initiated against Shakhban Abakargadzhiev, a resident of the Dagestan Khasavyurt.

According to investigators, the man posted anti-war posts on his Instagram. In particular, he reported on the killings of civilians by the Russian military in occupied Bucha, on the victims of Russian shelling in Mariupol, and compared the condition of the Russian and Ukrainian military returned from captivity not in favor of the Russian Federation. He also called on the civilized world to completely fence itself off from primitive communities such as the Russian Federation.

Abakargadzhiev faces a fine of up to 5 million rubles or imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
