During the annual "Year in Review" press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about support for young families, noted the tradition of early marriages in the North Caucasus. He said he believed this was "right" and suggested "following their example," citing Ramzan Kadyrov's large family.
A criminal case was opened against Taimuraz Dudayev, a teacher at a boarding school in the city of Alagir, for desecration of the state flag (Article 329 of the Criminal Code).
This happened after he reposted a publication by TV presenter Lera Kudryavtseva. She, in turn, published a screenshot from another person’s social network with a photo of a sticker on the door of a store in France with an image of a crossed out Russian flag in the shape of a pig. Kudryavtseva expressed her outrage.
Thus, Dudayev will be tried for criticizing the West with its negative attitude towards the Russian Federation. He accompanied his publication on one of the social networks with the comment: “In the last decades in the West they have talked a lot about tolerance and humanism, they knelt because of the death of a black drug addict and criminal, they defended LGBT rights, but here it is…. got it #thisisdifferent.” However, the police believed that by publishing the photograph, Dudayev had violated the Russian flag.
