During the annual "Year in Review" press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about support for young families, noted the tradition of early marriages in the North Caucasus. He said he believed this was "right" and suggested "following their example," citing Ramzan Kadyrov's large family.
Law enforcement agencies of North Ossetia opened a criminal case against 33-year-old Teona K. from Vladikavkaz under the article of discrediting the Russian army. The reason was her comment in the “Emergency/Vladikavkaz” group, made back in October 2022. In it, the woman stated that she did not feel sorry for the mercenaries who went to kill for money and got into a foreign country.
“Your ancestors are turning over in their graves looking at you, traitors to the Caucasus. All his life he was free, and now they made slaves out of you and sent you to kill civilians for the golden toilets of this idiot in the Kremlin, and you gobble up, as you did Beslan, in which he killed your children. Life teaches you nothing, the invaders are heroes for you, and they are still owed something. Who attacked you, who are you saving from? Yesterday you despised this power, and today you are dying for it, because you saw the money and sold yourself to it,” the comment says.
Last year, a resident of Vladikavkaz was also tried under an administrative charge for discrediting the RF Armed Forces.
