The North Caucasus republics have become leaders in industrial waste growth

Significant growth dynamics of industrial waste have been recorded in four republics of the North Caucasus Federal District. Thus, over the year, the mass of waste from enterprises in Chechnya increased by 98.7% (up to 716.9 thousand tons), in Kabardino-Balkaria - by 83.8% (up to 103.5 thousand tons), in Ingushetia - by 79.5% (up to 13.4 thousand tons). This was reported by the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza.

Karachay-Cherkessia became the only region in the district with negative dynamics: waste volumes decreased by 33%. In Dagestan, the increase was minimal - only 1.1%.

In general, Russian enterprises generated a record 9.3 billion tons of waste in 2023, which is 3% more than in 2022. The highest figure is in the Kemerovo Region (4.1 billion tons), followed by Yakutia (860.4 million tons) and Krasnoyarsk Krai (548.6 million tons).

The minimum volume of industrial waste was recorded in Ingushetia (only 13.4 thousand tons), Kalmykia (15.8 thousand tons), Kabardino-Balkaria (103.5 thousand tons) and Dagestan (167.5 thousand tons).
