North Caucasus regions rank among the lowest in the Russian Federation by bank deposit size

Regions of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) ranked last among Russian regions by bank deposit size per capita.

The Republic of Ingushetia ranked 85th with 26,400 rubles, while the Chechen Republic ranked 84th (31,500).

They are followed by Dagestan (83rd, with 61,600), Karachay-Cherkessia (82nd, with 87,500), and Kabardino-Balkaria (81st, with 93,000). Experts attribute this situation to lower incomes and less accessible banking services in the NCFD.

For comparison, the national average is 496,600 rubles per capita. In 2025, the total volume of deposits in the country increased by 14.5%, with Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug leading the way.
