Regions of the North Caucasus are recognized as the least drinking

The lowest sales of strong alcohol were recorded in the North Caucasus Federal District, with an average of 1.5 liters per capita in the district for the first nine months of 2024.

In Chechnya, the sales of strong alcohol were zero, in Ingushetia - 0.3 liters per person, in Dagestan, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and North Ossetia - 1.1 liters each, in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic - 1.5 liters.

In Karelia, which turned out to be the region with the highest sales of strong alcohol per capita, the figure was 12 liters, with an average of 5.8 liters in Russia. It is noteworthy that the Far Eastern and Northwestern Federal Districts are leaders in alcohol consumption (7.4 liters).
