Regions of the North Caucasus Federal District are recognized as the worst in terms of salaries in various industries

The republics of the North Caucasus were at the bottom of the rating of Russian regions by salaries in various industries, compiled by RIA Novosti experts. The highest incomes in Ingushetia, Chechnya, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, North Ossetia, Dagestan and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic are paid in the civil service (57-63 thousand rubles on average). This industry turned out to be the leading one only in the republics of the North Caucasus and in Kalmykia.

Sakhalin, Moscow and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District are the leaders in salaries (from 244 thousand rubles to 317 thousand rubles on average). The leading industries in these regions are oil and gas production and financial services.

Of the 85 regions, 27 have the highest salaries in areas related to the extraction of minerals. In second place is the IT and communications industry, providing the highest incomes in 12 regions. The top three is completed by the “civil service” (8 regions).
