Russia became the first foreign investor in Karabakh
The first investment project in Karabakh was carried out by Tatarstan. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"This is the Kamaz service center in the Jabrayil region, which was opened by the head of Tatarstan and me," Aliyev noted.

He added that Baku is waiting for Russian investments in the restoration of Karabakh.

In addition, Aliyev commented on information about Turkey's alleged plans to create a military base in Azerbaijan.

"There is no need for a Turkish military base in Azerbaijan. Over the past 30 years, Turkey and its military structures have played a major role in modernizing the Azerbaijani army and bringing it to high standards," he explained.

The day before, the Azerbaijani leader presented the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with the Order of Dostlug ("Friendship"). This order is awarded for special merits in the development of friendly, economic and cultural ties.
