The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
In the first half of 2025, residents of the North Caucasus allegedly felt an increase in their real cash income. According to Rosstat, this increase in the indicator was 6.3% compared to the same period last year (taking into account the impact of inflation).
The greatest progress in income, according to Rosstat, was observed in Kabardino-Balkaria (an increase of 13.1%), Chechnya (7.7%) and Karachay-Cherkessia (7.5%). In Dagestan, the indicator increased by 6% over the year, in North Ossetia - by 5.7%, in Ingushetia - by 5.5%. Stavropol Krai showed the smallest dynamics of 4%.
The leaders in salary levels were Stavropol Krai (60.6 thousand rubles) and Karachay-Cherkessia (52.9 thousand rubles). The minimum figures were recorded in Ingushetia – 44.6 thousand rubles.
