The growth in housing construction in the North Caucasus is four times higher than the Russian average

As of the end of March 2025, the volume of multi-apartment housing under construction in the North Caucasus Federal District increased by 26% over the year. The figure amounted to 4.3 million sq. m. At the same time, in Russia as a whole, it increased by 6% - to 114.8 million sq. m. This was reported by Ekaterina Vlasova, Deputy Head of the DOM.RF Analytical Center.

All subjects of the district demonstrated growth, except for the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, while the bulk of housing under construction is concentrated in the Stavropol Territory, Dagestan and Chechnya: these regions account for 75%. In 2024, the area of ​​​​housing put into operation in the North Caucasus Federal District increased by almost 25% compared to 2023, amounting to 9 million sq. m.

Earlier it was reported that Chechnya took second place among the regions of the Russian Federation in terms of housing construction per capita in 2024. The indicator was 1.65. Dagestan took 14th place - 0.87 "squares" per capita. Karachay-Cherkessia (20th place; 0.8) and North Ossetia (23rd; 0.75) were not far behind.
