Rostov Region hit by drone attack: two high-rise buildings damaged, child injured

On the night of September 6, Rostov Region, along with other Russian regions, was again attacked by Ukrainian drones. Specifically, a massive airstrike was reported on Rostov-on-Don. According to the Telegram channel Astra, drones circled over the city for over four hours, and gunfire and the sound of a helicopter were heard. Bataysk was also hit. The Telegram monitoring channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+ published photos and videos from eyewitnesses.

According to the governor of the Rostov Region, the airstrike affected Rostov-on-Don, Aksaysky, Bagayevsky, and Neklinovsky districts. In the Sovetsky district, two apartment buildings were damaged as a result of the attack. A child was injured and is currently in the hospital, where he is receiving necessary care. According to the governor, residents of the damaged high-rise buildings have been evacuated, and emergency services are working at the sites. Furthermore, monitoring channels report that the Ryazan Oil Refinery, one of the largest in Russia, was attacked by drones on Sunday night, causing a fire. Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov confirmed this information, noting that there were no casualties.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the night of September 6, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 258 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones. The drones were shot down over Russian regions, occupied Crimea, and the Black Sea and the Sea of ​​Azov.
