Major General Vladimir Kotov, previously deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Voronezh Region, has been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia. The ceremony to introduce the new head of the department was held in Magas.

The leaders of different countries have responded to the peace agreement signed as a result of the meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Washington. The mediation of US President Donald Trump was given a separate positive assessment.
In particular, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called the signed declaration on a peaceful settlement between Baku and Yerevan a historically important achievement. The corresponding statement was made by the press secretary of the head of Kazakhstan Ruslan Zheldybay in the official Telegram channel.
"President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev considers the peace agreement signed in Washington between Azerbaijan and Armenia a historically important achievement. The document put an end to the long-term military conflict between the two states and opened the way to the establishment of diplomatic relations and the development of cooperation between them on the basis of lasting peace," Zheldybay wrote.
The publication emphasizes that, according to the President of Kazakhstan, the signing of the declaration "became possible thanks to the energetic and effective mediation mission of US President Donald Trump, who managed to convince the Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders to fully demonstrate political will and strategic foresight."
In addition, Tokayev's press secretary noted Kazakhstan's contribution to achieving agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia, namely the proposal of Almaty as a venue for negotiations at the level of foreign ministers on key aspects of the peace agreement.
Moscow, in turn, highly appreciated the meeting held in the United States. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said that the Kremlin will analyze US statements on unblocking regional communications. At the same time, according to her, "trilateral agreements with Russia's participation, from which neither side has withdrawn, remain relevant," and the involvement of extra-regional players should contribute to the advancement of the peace agenda.
The successful completion of the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia was also welcomed by the United States, the European Union, France, Spain, Estonia, Germany, Austria, Mexico, Brazil, Qatar, Greece, Kuwait, the UAE, Croatia and the United Nations. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called the agreement an "inspiring step" towards sustainable peace, while the EU stressed that it paves the way for stability in the South Caucasus.
France and Germany expressed hope for the rapid implementation of the agreements, while Iran, on the contrary, stated its disagreement with certain provisions. In particular, this concerns the planned "corridor of peace" (TRIPP) - in Tehran it was assessed as a geopolitical provocation that poses a threat to regional security and the risk of escalation.
