A new head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been appointed in Ingushetia

Major General Vladimir Kotov, previously deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Voronezh Region, has been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia. The ceremony to introduce the new head of the department was held in Magas.

Kotov replaces Lieutenant General of Police Mikhail Korobkin, who was dismissed by decree of the President of the Russian Federation in September. Vladimir Kotov began his career in the internal affairs agencies in 1996. From 2008, he served as deputy chief of the public security police, and from 2009, he headed district internal affairs departments in the Voronezh Region. For six years, beginning in 2011, Kotov headed the Voronezh Internal Affairs Directorate. In 2017, he was transferred to the position of head of the personnel management department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Voronezh Region.
