Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matviyenko congratulated Ingushetia on the 256th anniversary of its accession to Russia, noting the "dynamic development" and growth of production in the republic, which she called "one of the main strongholds of our state in the North Caucasus."
According to Rosstat, Chechnya became the leader in the CSFR in terms of the number of departed population.
In 2022, the migration decline of the population in Chechnya, i.e. the excess of those who left over those who came for permanent residence, amounted to more than 4,000 people. This is almost double the indicator of 2021. Residents leave not only to other regions of the Russian Federation, but also abroad.
Migration is also decreasing in the CBD, North Ossetia, Dagestan, and HRC. In Ingushetia alone, the number of arrivals exceeded the number of departees.
In general, as a result of January-November 2022, almost 162,000 inhabitants left the North Caucasus and Stavropol regions. The annual decline has tripled.
