The US and Türkiye hope for a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan

The US has said it continues to believe that a peace deal between Azerbaijan and Armenia is "within reach." According to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, relations between Turkey and Armenia will be normalized after the signing of a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan. The politician expressed confidence that the signing of this long-awaited document will take place in the very near future.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, called for the immediate conclusion of peace between Baku and Yerevan. In June, the head of the Armenian Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, did not rule out that a peace treaty could be signed this year.
