The Georgian Prosecutor's Office accused the opposition television channel TV Pirveli of spreading "further disinformation" after airing a report about Tamar Bezhuashvili, the prosecutor in the case of the attempted storming of the presidential palace. The office stated that this is the second time in the past six weeks that the channel has produced material related to the business activities of the prosecutor's father and is "completely unfoundedly" attempting to link it to her professional work.
The court in Grozny postponed the hearing for the third time in the case against Nikita Zhuravel, accused of burning the Koran near a mosque in Volgograd. The victims in the case are 13 imams of Grozny mosques, who again did not appear at the hearing.
In August, Nikita Zhuravel stated that he was beaten by Ramzan Kadyrov’s 15-year-old son Adam in a pre-trial detention center in Grozny. A month later, the head of Chechnya published a video of the beating. Two weeks later, Kadyrov Sr. announced that his son was awarded the title “Hero of the Chechen Republic.” Then the teenager received many regional orders - KBR, KCR and Tatarstan.
Recently, a member of United Russia, deputy Azat Khamaev, at a meeting of the Tatarstan parliament, criticized the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, for beating prisoners and awarding his son the title of Hero. However, the very next day he publicly apologized, calling his statement overly emotional.
