More than a billion rubles in bitcoins are confiscated from a former investigator from the Chechen Republic
More than 1 billion rubles in bitcoins will be seized from Marat Tambiev, a native of the KKR, the former head of the investigative department of the SKR in the Tver district of Moscow. Earlier, he was sentenced to a long term for receiving a large bribe from hackers for favorable decisions in their cases.

In addition, the General Prosecutor's Office demands to take away Tambiev's motorcycle and several real estate properties in the Moscow region.

In October 2024, the Balashikhinsky City Court of Moscow sentenced Marat Tambiev to 16 years in prison. Emu was accused of receiving a record bribe. In his laptop, law enforcement officers found a folder with keys to crypto wallets: the bribes were mainly in bitcoins. According to the investigation, they received a total of 7.3 billion rubles, including more than 1.5 million dollars.

It was established that Tambiev received payment from members of the Infraud Organization hacker group. The money was paid for their adoption of various procedural decisions, including in the criminal case against the hackers - for the defendants to be sent to house arrest, not to the pre-trial detention center, and for the investigation not to seize their crypto-wallets. The accused shared half of their funds with Tambiev.
