A Dagestani parliament member is facing a claim for 850 million rubles in property confiscation

The Prosecutor General's Office has filed a lawsuit to seize 850 million rubles worth of property from Dagestani parliament member Murtuzali Murtuzaliev, his common-law wife, and her relatives. An investigation revealed that the acquisitions of the member and his relatives significantly exceeded their combined legal income for the period from 2006 to 2023.

Murtuzaliev's income from 2006 to 2023 (his salary and work at Dagestanavtodor) amounted to 26 million rubles, while his common-law wife's income was 29.3 million. However, during this period, the member acquired at least 376 million rubles worth of property (current market value: approximately 850 million).

The property subject to seizure includes eight plots of land, five houses, two apartments, and three non-residential buildings in Moscow, the Moscow region, and Dagestan, as well as a Lexus LX570. The properties also include a mansion in an elite village on Rublevo-Uspenskoe Highway near Moscow, as well as an estate in the resort village of Primorsky in Dagestan.
