The head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the Ulyanovsk region, Islam Huseynov, has been stripped of his Russian citizenship and will be deported. The reasons for the citizenship revocation and deportation have not been officially disclosed.
Crimean Tatar political prisoner's health has worsened

Journalist Amet Suleimanov, sentenced to 12 years, reported a deterioration in his health.
The man continues to suffer from regular pain in the heart area, high blood pressure and shortness of breath. Suleimanov was also diagnosed with retinal angiopathy, which can lead to blindness. The Crimean Tatar's wife, Lilia Lyumanova, confirmed that her husband was removed from the queue for a heart valve replacement surgery.
Amet Suleimanov, who was previously serving a sentence in Prison No. 2 in the Vladimir Region, reported that parcels and letters were not reaching him.
In 2019, the Southern District Military Court, despite numerous statements from the defense about Suleimanov's health, sentenced him to 12 years in a maximum security penal colony for participating in the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is banned in the Russian Federation. His lawyer Lilia Gemedzhi believes the sentence is fatal: "They sentenced him to die. Imprisonment for a person with such a diagnosis is cynicism."
