In the village of Novye Aldy, a well-known person in Chechnya, Muslim authority Magomed Dolkaev, was killed. His body was found in Tsimlyansky Lane not far from his home. The body of the deceased has traces of bullet wounds: four shots were fired in the head.
He is a descendant of Sheikh Mansur (Ushurma), who from 1785 to 1791 led the liberation struggle of the highlanders of the North Caucasus and the peoples of the Cis-Caucasian steppes against Russia. On June 21, 1791, during the capture of Anapa by Russian troops, the wounded Sheikh Mansur was captured and taken to St. Petersburg: After interrogations in the Secret Expedition, on October 15, 1791, by a secret rescript of Catherine II, he was sentenced to life imprisonment in the Shlisselburg fortress “for inciting mountain peoples against Russia and causing great damage to the Empire." On April 13, 1794, Sheikh Mansur died of transient consumption and was buried on Preobrazhenskaya Mountain.
Since the beginning of perestroika, Magomed Dolkaev became involved in the public life of the republic. He was a supporter of Dzhokhar Dudayev and participated in rallies in his support. With his impressive appearance - white beard, Chechen national clothes with sleeves rolled up to the elbows in any weather and a toastmaster's stick in his hands - he became a favorite character for Russian and foreign photo reporters. Magomed Dolkaev continued his social activities during the first Russian-Chechen armed conflict (1994-1996), was an activist in the anti-war movement, and participated in the activities of the Assembly of Social Movements and Parties of Chechnya.
His killers are presumably two young Chechens who arrived in the village in a white “Six” (VAZ-2106 car). The possible reasons and circumstances of the commission of this crime by HRC “Memorial” are unknown.
