German authorities deported 48 people to Georgia, including the brother and other relatives of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, a Chechen field commander and Georgian native killed in 2019.
A month and a half ago, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili was transferred to another ward, and since then the level of oxygen saturation in his body has dropped. He has severe weakness, drowsiness and shortness of breath. This was reported by Dr. Manana Dzhebashvili.
In response to this, the director of the private clinic "Vivamed", where the convicted ex-president is undergoing treatment, said that there were no changes in his health.
"There were several very minor episodes of changes in blood oxygen saturation associated with physical activity. The person already eats well, plays sports, has a simulator, so there is nothing surprising. Physical activity directly correlates with a slight change in this indicator," Zurab Chkhaidze explained.
Since his arrest on October 1, 2021, Mikheil Saakashvili has spent less than six months in a prison cell in total. The rest of the time he was in clinics: first in a prison hospital, then in a military hospital, and since May 2022 in the Vivamed clinic. Saakashvili is under arrest, as he was sentenced in absentia to imprisonment on two criminal cases. He has declared a hunger strike three times.
