Ukraine confirms strike on military airfield in Adygea
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has officially confirmed the drone attack on the Khanskaya military airfield in Adygea.
 
"Tonight, the Khanskaya airfield in the Republic of Adygea of ​​the Russian Federation was hit by fire. In particular, the ammunition depot located on the territory of the facility was hit. A fire was recorded in the target area," the press release said.
 
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported that Su-34 and Su-27 aircraft were based at the airfield. More detailed information about the consequences of the strike is being clarified.
 
Despite the fire, which was recorded by the NASA monitoring system, the Russian authorities have not officially acknowledged the attack on the airfield. Local residents reported it on social networks. Residents of the village of Rodnikovy in the suburbs of Maikop were evacuated after the incident.
