Ukrainian drones attacked Russia’s Rostov region and Krasnodar Krai overnight on August 10, Russian officials said.
Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar said more than 70 drones had been intercepted over the region. Air defences destroyed drones over Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and seven districts, he said.
There were no reports of casualties or damage, Slyusar said.
Authorities in Krasnodar Krai have not reported casualties or damage from the attack.
Russia’s Defence Ministry said its air defences had intercepted and destroyed 456 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over several Russian regions overnight.
Drone activity was also reported over a number of regions in central and southern Russia, as well as Tatarstan, the Moscow region and Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014.
The Defence Ministry did not provide a breakdown of the number of drones intercepted over each region.
