A Georgian fighter, Vice Colonel Vano Nadiradze, who led a Georgian group as part of the Ukrainian special operations forces, has passed away. The cause of death was preliminarily a heart attack, according to media reports.
Nadiradze fought in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the first months of Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. He covered the progress of the war through the press and social networks and was often the first to report the deaths of fellow fighters.
Since February 2022, about 80 Georgian fighters have died on the front - volunteers from Georgia and Ukrainian citizens of Georgian origin.
