The Kyiv District Court of Simferopol remanded four Crimean Tatar women: Esma Nimetulayeva, Elviza Aliyeva, Nasiba Saidova, and Fevziye Osmanova, in pretrial detention for two months. The hearing was held behind closed doors, with limited access for support.

At the request of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Turkish authorities detained 38-year-old Dagestani Ibragim Askerov. In Russia, he is accused of involvement in the activities of the At-Takfir wal-Hijra organization, which is banned in the Russian Federation and in fact has not existed for a long time.
Askerov and his family received a residence permit in Turkey in 2021. Soon he was detained, placed for several months in a deportation center, but then released. Now he was arrested again at the request of the Russian security forces - the man is threatened with deportation.
Al-Takfir wal-Hijra is an Egyptian organization, the last mention of which was in the 1970s. According to historians, it has not existed in practice for a long time, but in the Russian Federation they believe the opposite. Members of this organization held rituals at home, did not go to the mosque, and did not show respect to the official Islamic clergy.
