A native of Dagestan, who alleged abuse of Muslims in the colony, was transferred to a pre-trial detention center

For almost three weeks, a native of Dagestan, Omar Murtazaliev, has been in a pre-trial detention center in the city of Shadrinsk, where he was transferred from IK-2 in the Kurgan region without explanation. According to the lawyer, this may be due to the interrogation of the defendant as a witness or the initiation of a new criminal case against him.

It was previously reported that the leadership of IK-2 in the Kurgan region regularly placed Omar Murtazaliev in solitary confinement. He released video messages about the abuse of Muslims in the colony. According to him, FSIN employees threw the Koran on the ground and assaulted him.

Earlier, relatives of Omar Murtazaliev and other residents of Dagestan, during a press conference at the Memorial human rights center, spoke about torture in the republic. They reported that Omar and other men were tortured to force them to incriminate themselves and sign false statements.
