A native of Dagestan, who spoke about the abuse of Muslims in the colony, is regularly put in solitary confinement

The leadership of IK-2 in the Kurgan region regularly places a prisoner from Dagestan, Omar Murtazaliev, in solitary confinement. Previously, he released a video message about the abuse of Muslims in the colony. According to him, FSIN employees threw the Koran on the ground and assaulted him.

Because Murtazaliev was sent to a cell-type room, his planned meeting with his parents was in jeopardy. The colony hinted that they might prohibit the meeting, as reported by the prisoner’s mother.

Relatives of Omar Murtazaliev and other residents of Dagestan previously spoke about torture in the republic during a press conference at the Memorial human rights center. They reported that Omar and other men were tortured to force them to incriminate themselves and give false testimony.
