A native of Chechnya faces deportation from Austria to Russia
A native of Chechnya, Azamat Balayev, who served a five-year sentence in an Austrian prison, may be deported to Russia. In this case, human rights activists claim, he faces torture and forced transfer to the "SVO".

As noted by the representative of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in Austria, Roza Dunaeva, Balayev was convicted of calling for radical Islamism. If he is deported to Russia, then in fact he will be double punished for the same act. In addition, he did not commit a violent crime. Lawyers are trying to appeal the decision to deport Balayev.

Recently, a court in Austria refused to extradite a native of Chechnya, Zhabrail Musikhanov, to the Russian authorities. He has a severe form of leukemia. In addition, the court again sent a request to the prosecutor's office to obtain asylum for the man. Human rights activists had previously stated that his extradition to Russia would be tantamount to a death sentence, since Russian prisons lack the proper conditions for treating such diseases.

Zhabrail Musikhanov arrived in Austria from Turkey. He was soon detained at the request of the Russian Federation. Moscow announced Musikhanov's involvement in military actions in Syria on the side of the international terrorist organization "Islamic State". He himself denied these accusations and reported that he had been undergoing treatment in Turkey for a long time.
