Flights suspended at airports in Grozny, Vladikavkaz and Makhachkala
Restrictions have been introduced at the airports of Vladikavkaz, Grozny and Makhachkala. Since 07:44, they have not been accepting or sending planes. This was reported by the press secretary of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Artem Korenyako, in a telegram channel.
 
“Aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety - this is the main priority,” the Federal Air Transport Agency said in a statement.
 
According to Russian media, similar measures were taken at the airports of Volgograd, Kazan, Astrakhan, Nizhnekamsk, Saratov and Ulyanovsk at night and early in the morning of February 3, some of them were later canceled.
 
According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, 27 drones were destroyed over the territory of the Rostov Region last night. In addition, 25 UAVs were shot down over the Volgograd Region, 7 over the Astrakhan Region, 5 over the Voronezh Region, 4 over the Belgorod Region, and 2 over the Kursk Region.
 
In the Volgograd Region, a UAV attack caused fires on the territory of an oil refinery, and in Astrakhan, a fuel and energy complex facility was attacked.
