Eid al-Adha holiday begins in Azerbaijan

Weekends associated with the celebration of Eid al-Adha have begun in Azerbaijan. Officially announced 9 days off. This holiday is actively celebrated in Turkey, the republics of Central Asia, and in many regions of the Russian Federation.

Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) is dedicated to the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca (the holy city of Muslims). The main meaning of the celebration is to remind all Muslims of man's devotion to God and his mercy. The history of the holiday refers to the Koran (the holy book of Muslims), to the sura (chapter), which describes the attempt of the prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son.
