A meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee was held in Moscow, dedicated to countering the spread of terrorist ideology, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism in the North Caucasus Federal District.
In Azerbaijan, the term of imprisonment for an opposition political emigrant was slightly reduced

In Baku, the appeal court partially upheld the complaint of activist Jafar Mirzoev, who was arrested in a drug case after being expelled from Germany. His sentence was reduced from 6 to 5 years.
Jafar Mirzoev said in court that he was arrested because of his political activities, for his participation in protests against the Azerbaijani government.
He is one of four people arrested after being deported from Germany in late 2021 and early 2022 on drug trafficking charges. Human rights activists declared them all political prisoners.
According to human rights agencies, the real reason for these arrests was the participation of political emigrants in protests in Europe demanding the release of political prisoners in Azerbaijan.
