In Chechnya and Ingushetia, people over 55 are recognized as the poorest

Chechnya, Transbaikalia and Ingushetia turned out to be the worst regions in terms of quality of life for people over 55. These are the data from the study of the project "If to Be Precise", which was based on the indicators for 2023.

In Chechnya, the share of the poor population among older people was recorded at 26.4%, in Ingushetia - 21.2%. Between these regions in the rating is the Transbaikal Territory. In Dagestan, 17.9% of citizens over 55 have low incomes, in Kabardino-Balkaria - 10.8%.

According to the study, the best living conditions for older people are observed in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Moreover, the highest life expectancy at age 55 in 2023 was recorded in Moscow (29.8 years), Dagestan (28.8 years), Ingushetia (27.2 years), St. Petersburg (26.5 years) and Karachay-Cherkessia (26.5 years).
