Chechnya and HRC have the highest mortgage interest

The average mortgage rate in Chechnya is 11.1%, in Karachay-Cherkessia - 9.6%. This is the highest rate in the country according to the Central Bank. The rate is also high in Ingushetia - 9.6%. The indicators are above the average - in North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria (8.8%), Dagestan (8.7%). The lowest average mortgage interest in southern Russia is in Krasnodar Krai (6.4%) and Adygea (6.5%).

Since July 1, 2024, the program of preferential mortgage for new buildings is canceled. The Central Bank and the Finance Ministry are seeking to curb and eliminate it as soon as possible, believing that it is overcharging housing prices and budget expenditures.
