A protest took place outside the Azerbaijani embassy, demonstrating against President Ilham Aliyev's "Russophobic policies" and the "lawlessness of the Azerbaijani special services" against Russian citizens.
A search and rescue operation on the Sunzha River has been completed in the Gudermes District of Chechnya. Rescuers have recovered the body of a second person who was in a car that fell into the river on the evening of August 24.
Officers from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Chechnya, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, and volunteers participated in the search.
As a reminder, a car carrying two people fell into the Sunzha River on the evening of August 24. The body of one of the occupants was discovered the following morning, August 25. The search for the second person has since resumed.
It was reported that the car was carrying two residents of Gudermes, born in 1966 and 1983. The authors of a video of the rescue operation highlighted the fate of one of the victims. They said that this man had recently participated in the search for missing people and assisted water rescuers in Ingushetia.
The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Chechnya reported that the body of the second man had been found.
