Chechnya again refused to recognize the victim of the wife of kidnapped and possibly murdered Salman Tepsurkaev

The court in Grozny for the third time refused to satisfy the complaint about the recognition of the victimized wife of the kidnapped chat moderator of the opposition telegram channel 1ADAT Salman Tepsurkaev. This decision will also be appealed to a higher authority, according to the Team Against Torture.

Recall that on September 7, 2020, a video of self-torture of Salman Tepsurkaev appeared on social networks. He was a chat moderator on the 1ADAT telegram channel, where they publish critical information about what is happening in Chechnya.

According to human rights activists, the young man was kidnapped from a hotel in Gelendzhik and taken to Grozny, after which he was forced to sit on a bottle naked in front of the camera. His whereabouts are still unknown. Novaya Gazeta wrote that he was kept on the territory of the police patrol regiment named after A. Kadyrov in Grozny. Lawyer of the “Team Against Torture” Olga Sadovskaya reported that the young man had died.
