11 school principals fired in Chechnya
After an unscheduled certification in Chechnya, 11 school principals were fired. They failed the inspection, said the head of the region, Ramzan Kadyrov.

“A number of shortcomings were identified, as a result of which 11 school principals were dismissed from their positions. Four heads of district education departments also failed the certification,” Kadyrov said.

The head of Chechnya ordered the creation of a commission that will monitor the appointment of school principals and officials responsible for this area in district administrations.

In 2023, the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District were leaders in the lack of places in schools and kindergartens. In Dagestan and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, 44% of kindergartens were overcrowded with children, in North Ossetia - almost 28%, in Chechnya - more than 24%. The subjects of the North Caucasus were also among the regions of the Russian Federation with the worst school education. This primarily concerns Ingushetia, Dagestan and Chechnya. When compiling the rating, Rospotrebnadzor took into account 15 parameters, including the results of schoolchildren's education, educational equality, functional literacy, and the objectivity of assessment procedures.
